Floyd Mayweather appears to flout coronavirus guidelines at packed nightclub

 Mayweather was spotted at the Arizona nightclub partying with other revellers.

Floyd Mayweather has appeared to flout coronavirus guidelines in Arizona by partying at a packed nightclub. The former four-weight boxing champion was spotted at the International Boutique Nightclub (INTL) in Scottsdale on Saturday.

INTL posted a clip of the unbeaten star on their Instagram, captioned: "@floydmayweather in the building."

TMZ report that Mayweather had already attended another party during the day at a hotel nearby. Governor of Arizona, Doug Ducey, lifted many of the state's coronavirus restrictions on May 11 but insisted that bars were to remain closed until further notice.

According to TMZ's report, the Arizona health department reported a total of 431 new cases of coronavirus on Saturday, while the state's death toll stands at 799.

Mayweather was seemingly unfazed by the continuing threat of the virus, however, as he joined other party goers by ignoring social distancing advice and failing to wear a face mask or gloves.

The 43-year-old did have his area reserved in the VIP room but was still risking contracting the virus as he mixed with fellow revellers. Arizona has allowed restaurants to reopen, but some bars have also been able to welcome customers again as they are classed as 'dine-in establishments'.

One Twitter user wrote: "Some people I know really drove out to Arizona for the weekend cause the bars are open out there."

Mayweather resides in Las Vegas in the neighbouring state of Nevada, which is over four-hours’ drive from Scottsdale.

 The champion boxer ignored social distancing guidelines.

His personal gym is also based in Vegas where he has recently been training up WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney. Videos have emerged on social media of the pair working together, with Mayweather taking on the role of coach.

The retired star has admitted he is open to the idea of becoming a coach full-time.

Haney has worked with Mayweather's father previously but has no plans to remain with Floyd Jnr going forward.

"As of now we haven’t spoken on anything long-term but you know whenever Floyd [Jnr] can give me tips and work with me he always does so I have to thank him for that," Haney said. "Floyd knows so much of the game. He’s accomplished so much he’s been in the game for so long.

"He became world champion the year that I was born so there’s so much that he can teach me and I learned so much.

"I definitely feel like it was destiny. I’ve worked with Jeff Mayweather, Floyd Sr, Roger and now Floyd Jr so it was definitely destiny and I’m very thankful for this. It’s still unbelievable to me."
