Anerlisa Muigai dismisses reports that her sister died from car accident

Nero Company CEO Anerlisa Muigai on Sunday, May 3, dismissed claims that her sister Tecra Muigai died from a car accident.

Anerlisa, while was responding to a condolence message by one Miss Mueni on Instagram, said that reports indicating her sister died from a car accident were untrue.

“Thank you Mueni, but the source you are reading is telling lies. She did not pass because of a car accident,” responded Anerlisa.

Through a statement to the media, Keroche Breweries announced Tecra’s death and asked Kenyans for respect as they made preparations for the final sendoff.

In the statement, Tecra is said to have died from a ‘tragic accident’ but did not indicate whether it was from a road accident.

“The Board of Directors and Management of Keroche Breweries is deeply saddened to inform that Tecra Muigai Karanja passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2020 afternoon following a tragic accident.

“As we begin preparation for her final sendoff we ask for respect and privacy during these difficult times,” read part of the statement.

Until her death, Tecra was the Strategy and Innovation Director at Keroche Breweries.

The Keroche Board and Directors described Tecra as brilliant adding that her passion and energy were the source of crucial innovations in enriching the company’s products.

She is the daughter of Keroche Breweries Chairman Joseph Karanja and the CEO, Tabitha Karanja.

Tecra was private person and this was revealed by her sister Anerlisa who said that the deceased would at times introduce her as a friend because she did not like being in the limelight.

In an Instagram post about two months ago, Anerlisa posted a photo of her and Tecra saying that she doesn’t post her as often because she was a private person.

“My sister is so cold towards me. When we walk together then she sees a lot of people, she always leaves me like somebody she doesn’t know.

“She also introduces me as her friend lol, the worst is when she denies me. She just hates the spotlight and that is why I don’t post her on my page even if it’s a family photo,” said Anerlisa.
