Mulu Mustisya\'s family mourns Mzee Daniel Moi

The family of the late Kamba leader Mulu Mutisya has joined Kenyans in morning former president Daniel Moi.

Irene Mulu, daughter to the late Kamba kingpin, said that the former president kept close contact with the family even after Mulu died 16 years ago.

She said that Moi treasured friendship, a quality that should be emulated by current leaders.

"He used to visit and know how we are doing, and when he got sick and unable to move around, he would send someone. Mzee Moi valued friendship a lot. We send our condolences to his family," said Irene.

She said that his death had affected the family a lot and Kenyans at large.

Moi died on Tuesday morning at around 5:20 am while undergoing treatment at the Nairobi hospital. He had been sick for about four months.

The news about his death was broken by his son, Baringo Senator Gideon Moi.
