DCI denies summoning King Kaka

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Tuesday denied summoning rapper Kennedy Ombima aka King Kaka.

DCI further warned all those wishing for publicity to desist from using them as a platform.

“We wish to condemn strongly false information being peddled through social media to the effect that one Kennedy Ombima @RabbitTheKing has been summoned. Nobody from DCI has summoned him.

“Anybody wishing for publicity should be warned to desist from using the @DCI_Kenya as platform in seeking media attention,” said the DCI.

Earlier, the rapper, via his social media, claimed that he had received a call from the DCI.

Activist Boniface Mwangi also echoed a similar message and asked fans of the musician to show up at the DCI headquarters along Kiambu Road.

Since releasing the song Wajinga Nyinyi, the rapper has been the talk of town as some Kenyans agreed with the message in his song.

In the song, the rapper hits out at voters for electing bad leaders and puts a number of leaders on the spot for unfulfilled promises.

On Twitter, the rapper asked his fans to pray for him and netizens were quick to offer their support saying he just spoke the truth.
