Why Uhuru should avoid these two places when he visits Jamaica

President Uhuru Kenyatta is set to visit Kingston, Jamaica, next week for a State visit but lawyer Miguna Miguna has warned him against visiting two places during the tour.

Miguna, who is a strong critic of the government, asked the President to keep off the tombstones of activist Marcus Garvey and reggae legend Bob Marley because he has done very little to fight corruption in the country.

Through a tweet, Miguna strongly criticised the Head of State, accusing him of not following the rule of law on many instances.

During the visit, the President and his host Prime Minister Andrew Holness together with their respective delegations will discuss and explore opportunities for enhanced bilateral relations between Kenya and Jamaica.

The announcement evoked a number of reactions from netizens who renewed calls for legalization of marijuana in Kenya.

"Finally...! He's considering legalizing it but first, he has to watch a trailer! Jamaicans, Your behaviors will determinate our fate...be at your best!" Mary Kihoro noted.

"I hope legalization of weed will be the first prioritized in the meeting," Tonito Juneweather stated.

"For the country to develop we must use high-quality products I hope you get me well so let him go and launch a good business partnership which will enhance and pull down our youths," Bonnie Michirah weighed in.

"Yes, the president is right. Create more market, there are huge "resources" we need to start exporting as a country," Vincent Jose noted.

Before leaving the country for Jamaica, President Kenyatta will preside over the official opening of a leather complex developed by the Ewaso Ngiro South Development Agency in Narok County on Friday.

The complex, which comprises of a leather factory and tannery, has an installed annual capacity of 4,000 tonnes of hides and skins and will create 300 direct jobs and over 5000 indirect employment opportunities.
