DCI arrest man linked to killing of parliament police officer

The DCI on Saturday afternoon announced that a key suspect in the murder of Hellen Kwamboka, a police officer who was based at Parliament, has been arrested.

A statement seen by Ureport noted that the suspect, Erick Onyono was arrested in Swam Town and had been on the run for a week.

“Detectives from #Buruburu today morning arrested a 30-year-old man in connection with the brutal killing of Police Constable Hellen Kwamboka on the night of 23rd May 2019.

“Mr. Erick Onyono Nyakundi was nabbed in his hideout at Swam Town after being trailed for almost a week,” said the DCI.

The deceased was found lying on her bed in Umoja Estate, Nairobi on May 24, with a deep cut inflicted on her head.

Detectives believe Nyakundi committed the offence on the said night and then fled.
