Bad boy: The danger of having a baby mama still in the picture

Living

After the very tempting move by your baby mama, you wonder what to do with her renewed interest in you. You wish she still hated you. Nowadays, every evening, she sends videos of her playing with the son, since she knows nothing warms your heart more. She finishes with one of herself either twerking or in very sexy lingerie.

Should you block her temporarily as you figure out our feelings? No, she is sweet. And you actually don’t mind the games she is playing.

Carol, on the other hand, has been more than cordial with her former lover and baby daddy, who is now overly fond of Farrah. It is a dicey situation. You have no right to question Carol’s dalliance with the man. Last time, she told you, “Grow up. He is the father of Farrah, and you don’t want Farrah growing up to hate both of you. It is her right…”

But when you brought up the idea that your baby mama does not mind being number 2, she went ballistic, concluding, “you will make the choice, but I am not signing up for a polygamous marriage. One has to go…”

Funny how she didn’t say that the baby mama must go. She left you with the choice. What a heavy load to carry!

You have this philosophy that children must grow up with their parents if they are to turn out right. You can’t imagine your son, for instance, being raised by another man. You connect with him so well.

“Then can I be spending every other weekend at their place to bond with Ryan?” you asked Carol.

“If I can also spend the same weekend with Farrah’s dad, he actually wants to bond with Farrah as well…,” she says, mildly threatening, and mildly being sarcastic.

“I have no problem with that. I appreciate that Farrah must know who the father is…,” You tell her, also being sarcastic, but to throw her off-guard, because she expected that you would resist.

“Don’t be silly. Say you just want to sleep with her. You’re just looking for excuses. You can bring Ryan here for the said weekends. She knows you are married and will not mind.” She resorts to being the ‘bigger person’…and just about the same time, she goes back to being female…

“And please, don’t ever mention her name in my presence. You can talk about the son, but don’t ever mention her in this house…”

“But you have been talking about Farrah’s father, and how I hate that stupid lawyer,” you say. Then it hits you how petty that is.

“OK, I will not mention him and will make arrangement where he can pick Farrah when he wants.”

Hardly the plan. But at least Caroline is able to see through your lust and put a stop to it. When you tell her rival, she sounds undeterred.

“Does she know I was there before her and me and you have quite a history?”

“She doesn’t.” Not that she cares. But clearly, the flimsy dream of getting her as No 2 is now in doubt. Because Caroline is not in the mood.
