After KCSE, which courses can one venture to in 2019?

Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education results were announced on December 21, by Education Cabinet Secretary, Amb. Amina Mohammed.

This saw a total of 315 candidates score an A plain while 90,377 candidates scored C+ and above to meet the minimum university entry qualification.

As a form four leaver with grades above or below C+, you can apply for a course of your choice at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in diploma or undergraduate with flexible study in Nairobi campus (JKUAT Towers formally known as ICEA Building on Kenyatta Avenue).

JKUAT NCBD also offers masters and PhD programmes for any undergraduate or postgraduate who wishes to further his/her studies.

JKUAT NCBD also offers Masters and PhD programmes for any undergraduate or postgraduate holder who wishes to further his/her studies. The Mode for the Masters/PhD programmes is Evening and Weekends.

In addition, the campus offers short courses programs such as CISCO, Certified Information System Management (CISM), and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) among other courses.

Undergraduates’ courses

Bachelor of Commerce (BCOM), Bachelor of Business and Information Technology (BBIT), Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management, Bachelor of Science in Project Management, Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship among others.

Entry requirement, a holder of mean grade C+ and above or have a Diploma in relevant discipline with credit pass from JKUAT or from an institution recognized by University Senate.

Diploma courses

Diploma in Business Information Technology (DBIT). Diploma in Information Technology (DIT), Diploma in Business Administration among others.

 

PhD Courses

PhD Business Administration (Finance & Strategic Management & Marketing options), PhD in Leadership and Governance, PhD in Project Management, PhD in Finance, PhD in Supply Chain Management, PhD Information Technology, PhD Computer Science a among others. Entry requirement should be a Master’s degree in the relevant field or equivalent from a recognized university.

Masters Courses

MSc. Monitoring and Evaluation, MSc. Leadership and governance, MBA, MSc. Project management, MSc. Applied Statistics, MSc. Applied Mathematics, MSc. ICT Management among others . Entry requirements should be a holder of a least a Bachelor degree, 2nd Class Honours (Upper Division) in the relevant disciplines or a holders of at least a Bachelor degree, 2nd Class Honours (Lower Division) from a recognized University with at least 2 years post-qualification experience
