“There's this statement circulating on Whatsapp that @MarthaKarua has endorsed @WilliamsRuto for president. Those are #FakeNews @MarthaKarua has and will NEVER endorse him. And @MarthaKarua lead's NARC-KENYA PARTY,” said the Twitter User.

“That is true!I hold the view that @WilliamsRuto is the least qualified for the job and as such would never endorse him. His campaign should desist from dragging my name along,” she posted.

The long statement doing rounds on WhatsApp shows Martha karua praising Ruto and terming his as very humble leader who is fit for Presidency.

“Unlike Raila and his father, Ruto is a very humble leader even before his boss thereby winning his trust. Personally, I may not be comfortable with Ruto's presidency but I think in paraphrasing Victor Hugo's famous quote, he may be an idea whose time has come." Read Part of the statement.

Ms Karua has since dismissed that statement terming it as Fake news.
