MPs who defied Raila now struggle to woo him

Opposition MPs who openly defied their leader Raila Odinga on the Finance Bill are reportedly struggling to endear themselves to the influential politician.

An MP who rarely goes to church is said to have followed the party leader to a church in Bondo to mend his relationship with him.

Other MPs have also been following Raila to all the functions he has presided over in Nyanza following the chaotic National Assembly’s Special Sitting.

Two legislators from Nyanza region have in the last couple of days struggled to attend all functions by the Opposition supremo in a desperate attempt to fight off perception that they are opposed to the NASA co-principal position over the 8 per cent Value Added Tax (VAT) on Petroleum Products.
