Kevin De Bruyne ruled out for three months after freak knee injury

Manchester City’s Belgian playmaker Kevin de Bruyne has been ruled out for up to three months following suffering a horrific knee injury during training.

He is reported to have hurt the Lateral Collateral Ligament (LCL) in his right knee.

He was spotted on crutches attending the first showing of City’s ‘All or Nothing’ documentary at The Printworks in Manchester City Centre.

"Kevin De Bruyne is undergoing tests on his right knee after sustaining an injury at training on Wednesday. The extent of the problem is not yet known and we will bring you further updates on Kevin's condition in due course," read a statement from the club.

KDB was part of the Man City side that impressed last season, narrowly missing out on the PFA Player of the Year award.

He was also the star of the show for Belgium at the World Cup, netting the winner against Brazil in the quarterfinals.
