Cramping after sex is not a major cause for concern since it only lasts for a few minutes. However, this does not mean you can ignore the cramps. The pain varies in different people and it may range from mild and severe. Hence, It is a condition that you should pay attention to. Pregnancy, periods or ovulation are the causing factors of cramps after sex. 

 Here are ways to treat cramps after sex.

Applying heat

Applying heat works by escalating smooth blood flow or circulation to the cramps areas, soothing the pain. Apply heat to your abdomen, this can be done by placing a hot bath heating pad hot water bottle or heat patch on the abdominal cramping. 

Taking pain-relievers

Taking pain-relievers is the most preferred and effective in lessening the pain. There are so many painkillers for cramps in your nearest chemists. These include ibuprofen, naproxen sodium and acetaminophen. 

Add supplements

Supplement your diets with vitamin giving foods to ease future cramps. Supplements can help lessen the pain in the muscles after sex. The best supplements include vitamin E omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin B-1 (thiamine), vitamin B-6 and magnesium

Workouts

Exercises are generally good for body fitness. If you experience cramps after sex, exercises can sometimes alleviate the pain. Consider stretching your legs, hand, jogging, yoga deep breathing, and pushups.
