Khalwale says Kalonzo is his hero

Former Kakamega County Senator Boni Khalwale caused a stir on Twitter after a touching message in reference to Wiper Democratic movement’s leader Kalonzo Musyoka

He tweeted his support after netizens tore Kalonzo apart for seemingly weeping during a National Super Alliance (NASA) press conference on Thursday

This came just after Kalonzo failed to show up for the swearing-in fete where he was to be sworn in alongside Raila Odinga as his Deputy President on January 30.

Raila, after taking oath said that Wiper leader Kalonzo was not at the venue but was with them in spirit. He assured supporters that Kalonzo would be sworn in another day and an explanation of why he was absent will be communicated to them.

In a video of the presser, Kalonzo was seen wiping his eyes while Raila was talking about the attack at his home.

There were reports that a grenade-like object was hurled at Kalonzo’s house at around 2.am on Wednesday, January 31.

Kalonzo while speaking, said that they are still united in NASA despite people asking him to retire from politics.

“We in NASA are united despite people saying I should retire from politics,” he said.

Khalwale commenting on Kalonzo’s display said that by breaking into tears, the to be deputy president showed immense depth & resilience. He commended Kalonzo for indomitable and named him his hero.

When @skmusyoka at today's NASA pressor broke down in tears, I for sure saw his immense depth & resilience. This man has been leaving behind a sick beloved wife to come & fight for us! Man, however much they bash u, always remember that u are indomitable & u are my hero! pic.twitter.com/X75qt8a9eu— Boni Khalwale (@KBonimtetezi) February 1, 2018

Kenyans reacted to Khalwale's tweet with different views;

Men, we all feel for Kalonzo but we cannot fall for his watermelon tendencies becauae he cried on TV.
