Jose Mourinho loans out star defender to Aston Villa until the end of the season

Jose Mourinho is loaning out yet another star.

According to English sports outlet The Express, Manchester United centre-back, Axel Tuanzebe is set to complete a loan move to Championship side Aston Villa.

The 20-year-old will spend the rest of the season with Villa, with Eric Bailly expected to return from injury soon.

The outlet also reports that Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce managed to convince a hesitant Mourinho to let go of the striker, leading to the ‘special one’ softening his stance on the defender last week.

He said, “Tuanzebe's a very good player that is not having lots of possibilities to play here. No chance we give up on such a talented boy. But it is something we are thinking about, a loan until the end of the season.”

He has made one appearance from the bench in the Premier League this season for the Red Devils.

He will be Aston Villa’s first signing this month and will meet former club mate and also loaned, goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.

Tuanzebe could make his debut for Villa when they travel to Sheffield United on Tuesday, 30th January.
