Why CS Wamalwa was heckled again after angry youths pelted stones at him in Vihiga

Water Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa was ejected yet again from another gathering in Bumula Constituency a few minutes after the unfortunate event in Vihiga County where National Super Alliance (NASA) youths threw stones at him.

It’s reported that CS Wamalwa tried to attack Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula and Governor Wycliffe Wangamati while addressing the Bumula professionals on Tuesday, 26 November.

The professionals demanded the immediate release of Mr Wamalwa from the gathering after his (Wamalwa’s) demeaning remarks towards the Governor Wangamati.

Mr Wamalwa, who is fighting to retain his CS position, is said to have received some beatings before the police intervened and rescued the situation.

In the incident before CS Wamalwa’s motorcade came under attack when he arrived at the Maragoli Cultural Festival at around 3 pm as Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi was addressing the crowd. Angry youths ordered that the CS leave even as Mr. Mudavadi tried to calm them down.

The CS was led away from the dais by Central Organization for Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli, Mr Mudavadi, and several other leaders.

According to Mudavadi, CS Wamalwa had come uninvited to the event. He said the latter should have consulted other Jubilee leaders from the region, who conspicuously skipped the event.
