Kenyans react after Miguna prides himself for making Uhuru quit watching TV

Author of ‘unpeeling the mask’ and former Nairobi gubernatorial candidate Miguna Miguna has responded to President Uhuru’s claims that he no longer watches television due to numerous political analysts.

Uhuru said this during the launching of Kshs 19 billion Thiba dam in Kirinyaga County on November 23. He launched the construction of the multi-billion project just days to his inauguration for his second term in office.

During the event, Uhuru urged Kenyans to roll up their sleeves and get down to the serious job of building the nation. He claimed that time for politicking is over.

“The season for politicking is over. It is now time to roll up our sleeves and start to work,” the President said.

He further said that it is time for Kenyans to concentrate on placing food on the table.

Nakwambia siku hizi ata mimi nimechoka kuangalia tv, ni ya nini?ata kusoma gazeti. Kila saa siaisa, sijui mtu anajiita analyst....unaanlyze nini? he said amid cheers.

Deputy President William Ruto echoed Uhuru’s remarks by asking Kenyans to work together and transform their livelihoods.

“The period of politicking is now behind us, it’s time to unite and build together a nation that we all believe in and move on,” he said.

Other speakers included Water and Irrigation Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa, Japanese Ambassador to Kenya Uesawa Toshitsugu, Kirinyaga Senator Charles Kabiru and Gichugu MP Robert Gichimu among others.

Miguna Miguna took the role of talking on behalf of analysts to answer to Uhuru’s claims. In his tweet, he celebrated the fact that he has succeeded in making the president avoid television. He vowed to keep him away from radio or touring the country too.

The illegitimate election thief @UKenyatta has confessed that I have stopped him from watching TV. Now, #NRM is going to stop him from listening to radio or roaming around Kenya because Kenyans rejected him on August 8th and October 26th. Viva! #Resist> https://t.co/P4K7OlTkIw

As usual, Miguna attracted responses from both National Super Alliance (NASA) and Jubilee Party supporters.

You dont have to scream &yell vulgarity. When criticism isn't presented with malice, pple listen with an objective ear and reasonable thought— Nick wa Renee (@KibeWa) November 24, 2017

Mind your language Miguna. Even if someone is that bad you can't afford to call them THIEF in public. If you want Kenyans to consider you a role model one day then please cease from your defamatory statements. Express your views in a dignified manner.— MATHIAS K. CHEBOI. Mr Miguna I love how you express yourself by calling a spade a spade and not a big spoon. Why do Kenyans love believing in lairs and lies? ????— rosemuoki???????? (@muokirose17) November 24, 2017

If you are that good political analyst, why didn't you analyze on Nairobi Gubernatorial election to see that you were losing miserably. Please give us a break. It pays to be a listener.— John M. Muraguri (@MMuraguri) November 24, 2017

Just call a spade a spade ,I like the way you deal the likes of Kawanja, and also wamatangi ,congratulations— Samson Ayiera (@SamsonAyiera) November 24, 2017
