Senior State House official warns billionaire Jimmy Wanjigi that his life is in danger

Billionaire businessman Jimmy Wanjigi, believed to have close ties with Raila Odinga and the National Super Alliance has written to Joseph Boinnet, the Inspector General of Police, asking to be provided with security at his own cost.

The billionaire strongly believes that because of his association with NASA, his life is in danger.

According to The Standard on Friday, September 15th 2017, Wanjigi complained about mysterious people and cars trailing him day and night.

He also had been tipped that his life was in danger by a highly ranked State House official who visited him personally.

Jimmy says the State House official came to his home and spoke of an ‘imminent threat’ to his life.

The matter was reported at Gigiri Police Station as investigations get underway.

“This is to bring to attention the above subject your urgent intervention and further necessary action by providing our client with adequate police security at his cost before any harm is visited on him,” wrote lawyer Elizabeth Karoki.

He believes the reason why his life is in danger is because of his close association with the National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders.

Wanjigi cited recent publications online before the August 8th election, which he termed as ‘fake’ as a base meant to taint his image due to his political affiliations. He said that these ‘fake’ articles gave room for people plotting to assassinate him.

Inspector General Joseph Boinnet has not publicly responded yet but according to reports, the issue is being investigated.
