Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho accepts defeat in signing winger

Manchester United Manager Jose Mourinho has admitted that Manchester United will not be signing another player this summer.

This comes after attempts to sign Eric Dier from Tottenham Hotspurs, Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan and Gareth Bale from Real Madrid were stalled then rejected by the clubs.

Mourinho was desperate to sign a left winger who would allow him to play the 3-5-2 system but has said that he feels confident of the team he has right now.

"I don't think we are unless something happened that puts us in the market again. I told Mr Woodward that obviously my plans were four, but I also told be cool, no pressure from me, do what you think is the best for the club.

We will be together again for another transfer window in January and another one in the next summer, so there is no pressure from me at all and I am happy with the squad we have.

I am ready to go without the fourth player, so if we are out of the market I am fine. I'm ready," said a confident Mourinho.

United have already acquired the services of Romelu Lukaku and Victor Lindelof whom they signed from Everton and Benfica respectively, with Nemanja Matic being the latest addition to the squad from Chelsea.

Mourinho has already won 3 trophies with Man United and reclaimed a spot in the Champions League, a successful season according to pundits.
