Acting Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i:
"So far there has been no evidence of anything that should worry Kenyans concerning their security. There should be no cause for alarm. The police and other members of the multi-agency team that will be deployed all over the country are ready to do their part."
Chief Justice David Maraga:
"The Judicial Service Commission takes great exception to this development and demands that political and other leaders cease forthwith from this ignoble conduct that interferes with the administration of justice."
IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati:
"We demand the enhancement of security for the commissioners and members of the secretariat. I am cognizant of the sensitivity around the death and appeal to politicians to work towards a stable political environment in the build up to the elections."
