The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has announced that all political campaigns will end on 5th August 2017, 48 hours to the General election.
The IEBC has also assured Kenyans of shorter queues in polling stations since the number of polling stations countrywide has been increased from 24,563 to 40,883.
The final batch of Presidential ballot papers arrived in the country on 1st August 2017 as election preparations entered the final stretch.
However, IEBC faces a dark moment, after the murder of its ICT Manager Chris Musando in unclear circumstances.
