Why Senator Orengo, Justice George Odunga and Aden Duale made it to top trends

Siaya Senator James Orengo and Supreme Court Judge George Odunga have been on a number of tweeter online conversations this afternoon.

The two are among top trends as a result of the IEBC legal battles with the opposition coalition NASA.

Senator James Orengo has on many occasions led the legal teams that have convinced the court in sessions leading to outcomes that both Jubilee party leaders and the electoral commission found unfavourable.

The ruling party has described judges in ballot tender of conflict of interest as having interest on the matter.

Orengo had played a central in the push to have new IEBC commissioners in office ahead of the August poll and was on a committee that was enabling to the declaration of Raila Odinga as the opposition unity pact’s presidential candidate.

There are claims in the Jubilee camp that Justice Odunga’s wife is Orengo's niece, and that William Ouko is related to Raila wife Ida.

National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale has said Jubilee Party will appeal High Court judgment on public participation in presidential ballots tender as the opposition raises concerns of more faults on the IEBC voter register.

In writing, NASA has complained to the commission that the register has 400,685 double-registered voters distributed across counties, constituencies, wards.
