Millie Odhiambo loses hope in the Kenyan police

Mbita Constituency, now Suba North Member of parliament Millie Odhiambo might not be in good terms with the police as she accuses them of failing to arrest those endangering her life and killing one of her personal bodyguard.

Her bodyguard Mr Kennedy Okore was killed during the Homa Bay County ODM primaries on April 25 and her home torched at Mbita.

On Saturday during the late Okore’s burial, the MP said those behind the incidences were known to the police.

She said her life is in danger as she claims to have received reports that her rivals were on a plot to kill her.

She added that when attackers torched and destroyed her residential house in Mbita last month during the, the intention was to leave her dead.

She accused her competitors for the parliamentary seat of being involved in killing her guard Mr Kennedy Okore whose burial she attended over the weekend.

The vibrant MP said her competitors should have not taken the life of her guard over political differences with her.

“I am not happy with how the police are dealing with my security, my guard was killed, my house burned and now am being threatened but the police are yet to take any action,” she said.

Millie has vowed to go to court to ensure that the suspects are brought to book.
