International Friendlies Round-up: Spain, Sweden and Italy show might

Euro 2016 reigning champions, Portugal suffered a 2-3 loss in the hands of spirited Sweden at Estadio do Mantimo in Portugal on Tuesday night. A late Joao Cancelo’s own goal ended Portugal’s seven-match unbeaten run at home.

This was Sweden’s first win over Portugal in 33 years.

Gerard Deulofeu’s controversial goal in the 77th minute handed Spain a 2-0 victory over France at Stade de France Stadium. The former Everton winger’s goal condemned the match in delays waiting for the goal technology intervention.

David Silva had put the visitors ahead in the 68th minute with a well-taken spot kick.

In amidst of all this, goals from Eder and Leonardo Bonucci ensured Azzuris well-deserved win.

In Africa, Togo was humiliated by Egypt by three goals to nil. AFCON 2017 champions- Cameroon, lost 2-1 to Guinean in another fixture.

In another World Cup qualifiers match, Neymar, Marcello, and Coutinho went to the scoresheet for Brazil in a match that saw Paraguay go down by three goals against Samba Boys.
