President Trump appoints Son-in-law under probe on Russia's interference in 2016 poll to top White House Job

US President Donald Trump has put his 36-year-old son-in-law Jared Kushner as the head of the new White House office of American Innovation. 

Kushner who is married to President Trump's daughter Ivanka is a second-generation real estate investor and was on Monday announced to take up the new task as Voice Of America(VOA) reports indicated after a Monday White House press address.

White House press secretary Sean Spicer evaded media inquests as to whether the newcomer into Trump's government was qualified and capable of the tasks awaiting him to help run the federal government effectively as an advisor and innovations lead.

He is however on the spot by the Select Senate Intelligence Committee who are set to question his links with Russia and will be a close man to the president to be investigated on issues related to the December 2016 elections as confirmed by the intelligence committee members.

VOA reports that Kushner has agreed to be interviewed as part of the investigations that intelligence officials say had interference by Russia intended to boost Trump and undermine Hillary Clinton.
