Las Vegas 7’s: Kenya beat Samoa to lift Challenge Trophy

Despite a rocky start in the Las Vegas World Rugby Series, Shujaas lost only match in six. In their first match, Kenya went down 24-17 to New Zealand. It was 14-all against Argentina in the in the second game. After a 12-10 win over Russia in our last group match, Innocent Simiyu’s men qualified for the Challenge Trophy Cup quarter-finals.

A 21-19 win over Chile in the quarters saw Shujaas pitted against France for the semis. The boys continued with their back-to-back wins after beating France 14-7, cruising to the Challenge Trophy final. Collins Injera’s try in the game pushed his tally to 241 tries on the Word Rugby Series.
