Young Omwoyo Maranga takes up voter enlisting campaign as he eyes Kajiado county assembly seat on ODM ticket

Multimedia University students union's President Omwoyo Maranga, 22 has called on Kajiado County residents to embrace ODM Party as he crisscrossed Nkaimurunya Ward over the weekend as voter registration approached its closure.

On sunday, alongside Governor David Nkedianye, Maranga who is eyeing the Nkaimurunya Ward county assembly seat were on their final meet up with the electorate to ensure that those eligible registered as voters.

The youths and the elderly turned out in support of the young leader who said it is time for elected to take the life of their electorate as their own in order to transform peoples lives through development and empowerment.

Roadside gatherings were addressed at Gataka and Kongamano with key addresses in Kware Central that were culminated in a major rally at the Makaburini grounds.

He said he had put his trust in the people and asked them to support his bid by registering both as ODM party members and as voters to have him secure the seat and bring change he believed the people had been denied.

Bodaboda operators led supporters in the exercise throughout the stop overs, a move he says was deliberate as he seeks to support those in relatively low income generating ventures directly when elected.


Maranga, a St Joseph's Kitale Alumni alongside his classmate back then were last year elected as President and Deputy President of Multimedia University students union after they served as the head of students religious group.
