Was New Ford Kenya short-changed?

There is a strong feeling that Eugene Wamalwa's New Ford Kenya party was undercut in the new Jubilee arrangement. NFK folded up on the perception and premise that its interests in the new-look Jubilee Party would be solid and well secured.

Many thought that key party stalwarts like Governor Kenneth Lusaka (Bungoma) and Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa's place in the new state of affairs would be firm, respected and commanding.

After all, NFK was coming in as a senior partner with a significant following, not as an underdog. It was expected these two would be remarkably visible, and that their voices would not be muffled by their contemporaries, notably the domineering 'big' two that were originally synonymous with the defunct Jubilee Alliance Party: TNA and URP.

Another perception by NFK brigade was anchored on the likely scenario whereby Jubilee would show a strong, unequivocal and decisive hand in influencing Mr Wamalwa's stab at the gubernatorial race for Nairobi County, obviously as a favourite Jubilee pick.

As it is now, Jubilee is galloping into political headwinds and could as well be staring in the face of defeat.
