Former West Pokot Health CeC Catherine Mukenyang has spiced up the political scene in the county after posting pictures on social media showing her helping women to roof a new grass thatched house.

Mrs. Mukenyang who is eyeing the county women rep seat had visited Kaptolomwo village, on her meet-the-people tours.

On her official social media pages, she said her action shows that she is ready to help the community anywhere anytime.

"Today I was able to interact with the people of Kaptolomwo in West Pokot county. As a leader you should be ready to help your community anytime anywhere,"she posted.

Her actions have however attracted praise and criticism on equal measure. Those in support of her argue that she was doing it out of her kindheartedness while critics claim this was just a PR gimmick, common with politicians during the campaign period.
