Mudavadi pleads Senate to reject amended electoral laws

Pressure is mounting for President Uhuru Kenyatta to take action against the vocal Garissa Township Mp who is also the majority leader in parliament Aden Duale over reckless remarks that are allegedly to have made in Garissa.

Senators David Musila and Johnson Muthama have strongly come out and said that action should be taken against Duale for inciting Garissa residents against the Kamba community who are living in Garissa.Senator Musila said that the president should shoe that he is a man who says what he means by taking action against the majority leader.

While in Mombasa the last week to commission development by the Jubilee government the president said that nobody was above the law and action will be taken against those people who incite Kenyans leading to tribal divisions. He further said that each and every Kenyan has a right to live anywhere in this nation without being questioned.

According to Kamba leader if Duale is not tamed he is likely to cause bloodshed in the country by his utterances. They further said that the lives of those Kamba’s living in Garissa are at risks owing to the reckless remarks Duale made.

Speaking in Mwingi, on Saturday the leaders reminded Duale that no one was above the law. The legislators claimed that the voice in the clip going around on social media was Mr. Duale’s and asked him not to deny it.

Earlier own Duale had denied being the owner of that clip saying that it was being used by his political rival who want to take advantage of that to de-campaign him.In His statement, he said he was a law abiding citizen who cannot do such a thing. As a leader, his said his mission is to unite people and not to divide them along the tribal line.

Mr. Muthama said that the former Deputy Speaker of the National Farah Maalim Mohamed is the best leader to take over the leadership mantle from the outspoken Jubilee leader.According to him, Farah has almost twenty-five years of experience in the Kenyan politics and he is the one who can unite Garissa residents.

Earlier on Farah Maalim had blamed Duale for not developing the region and leaving the residents to languish in poverty. He also urged the Garissa resident to vote for him so that he can uplift their standards of living. The former Deputy Speaker said Duale is concentrating on defending the Jubilee government at the expense of the residents of Garissa Township.

The alleged Duale remarks have made a set back to the inroads the president had made.Uhuru Kenyatta had worked hard to see to it that the Kambas vote for him.
