President Uhuru showed humility during mass

By Martin Makundi | August 24th 2016 at 11:11:57 GMT +0300

During the 38th memorial service of Kenya's founding father Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, perhaps the most humbling moment was seeing his son, President Uhuru Kenyatta, kneeling down in prayer and respect.

The kneeling and prayerful President gave a refreshing image of a humble leader and nothing could crown the moment better than the unprecedented action of inviting Opposition leader Raila Odinga to share his podium where they preached peace during the forthcoming election and campaign periods.

All this caps the unity that engulfed the nation during the Rio Olympics.
