Kisii University secondary school’s career day

The Students Affairs department on Friday 8th 2016 hosted a career day for over 200 high school students from within Kisii County at the university grounds. The event was necessitated by the series of school unrests that have been around and across Kisii County.

Such behavior which is usually as a result of lack of focus and fortitude among students can be prevented simply by giving students hope and a reason to work; exactly what the department set out to do.

Addressing the students, various facilitators in the event were keen on guiding the students to always find better ways to forge forward and realize that some of the decisions that they make now might put a permanent stain on their lives and profiles, effectively destroying their careers before they even begin.

The department saw this as an excellent way of reaching out to schools and to ensure that every year they go to a section of students who can then go back and influence their peers positively by always reaching out for the good things in life and work to eliminate the detractors.
