No exams without full class- Uni students

Students at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST)? want those who have not cleared fees to be allowed to sit for this semester’s exams.

The University was this week shut down after students protested. According to the students, the university had planned to allow only those who had completed school fees to seat for end of semester exams.

“Some of us are in our final semesters, and have paid fees all through. They’d rather say we will not graduate than deny any of us exams,” said a third year student leader.

In a memo, the university management ordered all students to leave the university premises by 11am. The memo read: “This is to inform all students that due to the ongoing unrest of disrupting examinations, the University Senate has decided to close the university with immediate effect.
