Why Ruto might be president in 2022

As we approach 2017 it is now clear that Uhuru Kenyatta will stick to DP William Ruto as his running mate when he seeks to extend his term in office. This is contrary to rumours that Kenyatta might find another running mate considering that their ICC bond has been broken.

What does this mean to Ruto in case they win in 2017?

1. Ruto will accumulate enough resources to finance his 2022 presidential campaigns. This will enable him traverse all parts of the country to woo voters.

2. He will build more and better political affiliations as well as repair the fractured ones e.g Isaac Ruto (South Rift)

3. He will convince Kikuyus who many refer to as the determinants of Ruto's presidential ambitions to vote for him as well as find a Kikuyu running mate who enjoys support in MT Kenya.

4. By that time, Ruto will have associated himself closely with the IEBC considering that the current commission will be disbanded after the elections. The new commission will undoubtedly constitute close allies of the DP.

5. Ruto will be the JAP party leader as soon as Uhuru leaves office in 2022, this means that he will be the most favourable presidential candidate.
