Is it now time for William Ruto to leave the Jubilee Alliance?

Politics is a dirty game but politicians must have set principles and dignity to uphold. In 2007 we saw how one party accused the other of stealing the elections. The resulting feud brought Kenya to the brink of civil war. Some of our top politicians were accused of masterminding the chaos and were charged at the ICC

Fast forward to 2015 without getting into so much detail, we now see how things are unfolding and persons confessing on fixing others. Ruto being Raila's deputy in 2007, turned his back on him in 2013, accusing Raila of setting him up at the Hague and forged an alliance of convenience with co-accused Uhuru without knowing that his very own running mate was habouring the culprits.

With revelations and confessions of having being fixed by people close to the president he now serves under, he should first apologise for the accusations he leveled against his former running mate Raila, arrest those who have unwittingly confessed to witness tampering and have some dignity and respect in himself to step down and pull his party out of the Jubilee coalition. If politics in Kenya is a matter of principle and upholding rule of law and not just seeking power, he should honour himself and save himself the shame of serving under the same people who have brought for him so much trouble.

Your marriage of convenience has run its course and its time you terminate it, the president is a free man, while you are still facing trial, your government approval rating has reached an all time low so far and corruption has plagued nearly every sector in government. The president seems to lack the leadership and conviction needed to stop it and the economy is in bad shape. You have no reason to tag along with Jubilee. Every sign says get out, unless its power you seek, power without honour, power without dignity or self respect.
