It’s a Thursday evening and Bishop Eliud Nduati is enjoying his favourite beer at a pub in Kasarani, unbothered by some people looking at him in shock. Those who know him greet and engage him in small talk before ordering their booze.
The 32-year-old is a faithful of Akurinu church but he regularly takes his favourite beer publicly without caring what people say. He is a bishop at Prophetic Ambassador of Christ International Church and in clubs and entertainment realms, he is nicknamed “Team Kururia” or “Hezeh Junior”, after the popular Akurinu musician Hezeh Ndung’u.
