Drama in Eldoret estate as witch doctor flushes out thieves with swarm of bees

There was drama in Langas estate, Eldoret after two suspects accused of stealing household goods were attacked by a swarm of bees.

The suspects,  Johnson Wanjala and Alfred Makokha,  were frog-marched to the streets after a mganga flushed them out from their hide out.

The suspects returned a TV set, hoofer and a gas cylinder that they had stolen from  Anita Chesang.

It is alleged that Chesang had reported the matter to cops, but she later sought the services of the mganga after realising the matter was not being resolved.

“When I failed to recover the items,  I recalled an incident that had happened in Kitale where a witchdoctor managed to arrest the thieves. I decided to give it a try and I am happy my efforts paid off,”  Chesang said.

Chesang revealed that the goods were stolen from her house on March 23.

“We were on night duty and we were shocked when we arrived in the morning to an empty house. I sought the services of the witchdoctor, Waswa, after a friend recommended him,” she said.

According Kapseret Deputy Sub Commander John Odhiambo, the two suspects were arrested with the stolen items and were taken court to answer charges.

“The matter had been reported to us, but was still under investigations. When we were informed about the incident, we rushed to the scene and  pleaded with members of the public not to lynch them so that they could face the law,” he said.
