Nairobi, Kenya: Mystery surrounds the death of a University of Nairobi student whose body was found in his room at the weekend.

Police said preliminary findings show he died of epileptic attack and cited the state his body was found.

Kilimani police boss Peter Katam said they also found epilepsy related drugs in his jacket. But he said they are waiting for results on postmortem exercise that is to be conducted.

“Postmortem exercise will tell us more on what caused his death,” he said.

The incident happened a week after another body of a student was found in a swimming pool. It has since been established the fourth year economics student Dennis Maina may have been killed. He had an injury on his chest and internal bleeding.

This is the third death in the university in just a week, after the swimming pool incident.

Mworia’s colleagues have asked for police reports on the deaths. His body was moved to the Chiromo mortuary.
