During the current crop season there has been an outcry from farmers in Rift Valley over fertiliser supply, availability, quality and type. Today, I will narrow my discussion to Diammonium Phosphate (DAP) and NPK and their impact on the soils and yields. Reports have indicated that majority of farmers in Rift Valley are fixated on using DAP despite the State’s insistence that they use NPK.
