Team Kenya failed to rise to the occasion on the opening day of Delhi Commonwealth Games, with the country's representatives taking a battering in swimming, squash, badminton and shooting competitions. The pools of Dr SPM Aquatics Complex sunk hopes of five swimmers in sprint competitions who failed to qualify for the semi-finals.
