Why members of parliament won't ditch analogue 'mulika mwizi' phones

New technologically superior smartphones aside, some Kenyans have refused to part with their Oldskul mulika mwizi phones-from the rich, middle class, and the low class folk, they still keep these techno-dodo gadgets as either as plan B or as the main phones. Reasons range from safety, long battery life and difficulty in operating smartphone, among others. Here are 10 reasons Kenyans keep kabambe phones.

1.     Ignorance
Some Kenyans hate change and new things including phones. As such, they opt for god old stuff they can easily navigate. Most are stuck in the analogue age and dislike new technology or innovations, arguing “mimi acha nibaki na hii kabambe yangu , mtanipata tu nayo hapa.”  In short, they find using smart phones too complicated.
