Politicians shower Miss University wish cash

After Kenyatta University beauty Eunice Njeri was crowned the new Miss University on Thursday night,  dozens of politicians seeking audience with her gave her money and jewellery, among other goodies.

The Carnivore hosted the annual competition that featured models from over five universities. The event was almost turned into a political ground as politicians used the opportunity to campaign.

Drama started after Kamlesh Pattni took the microphone saying he had a little present for the winner.

He handed her a bundle of cash and assorted jewellery provoking other political hopefuls to follow suite.

Things turned even more dramatic after Jacob Dundos who is vying for the Langatta parliamentary seat, took the microphone and said: “I forgot to inform you that I paid for the venue.”

However, the university students could not take any of that as they booed the politicians.

“This is not a political ground. Go sell your policies somewhere else. We are here to have fun,” an angry student said.
