In a highly charged volleyball match, Kenyans showcased exceptional skills, dominating their Ugandan opponents in a 3-1 win at the ongoing Inter-Parliamentary games in Kigali, Rwanda.

The crowd at Ecole Notre Dame Des Anges Stadium roared as Kenyan Legislators captained by Dan Wanyama (Webuye West) secured victory in three sets, displaying teamwork, precision, and unmatched determination.

The players' synergy on the court was palpable, earning them a well-deserved win of 25-17,22-25,25-20,25-23 against the Ugandans yesterday.

The players consisting of Wanyama, Jackson Mandago, Victor Koech, Maina Mathenge, Brighton Yegon, Alfred Mutai, Seki Lenku and Paul Nzengu showed no mercy to their opponents with hard-hitting spikes which could not be blocked.

Being the team’s first match in the tournament, Kenyan MPs who filled the volleyball court expressed absolute confidence in the team’s ability to win all its subsequent games, should they keep up the momentum.

Wanyama, a former Kenyan international was the star of the match as his serves were too much for the Ugandan MPs.

Meanwhile the netball team captained by nominated senator Betty Syengo did not also disappoint as they flew the Kenyan flag high.

They beat Rwanda 15-14 in front of their vocal fans on Monday night.

The Kenyan legislators had started the event on the right foot on Sunday when the football team thrashed the East African Legislative Assembly 5-0.
