Kisumu All Stars players were on Tuesday given new playing kits by their sponsors, the County Government of Kisumu.

The lakeside team has been playing without branded playing kits since the start of the 2019-20 Kenya Premier League season, where new players were forced to wear jerseys bearing other players names.

However, their misery is now over as the county provided them with three new shirts for use in the premier league; blue, orange and black kits branded Love Life, Love Kisumu.

Speaking during the launch, Kisumu team manger Alfred Adu thanked the players for their patience and promised more good things will come as the season proceeds.

"We had some delay on the production since the kits were being manufactured abroad but now they are with us. I would like to thank the team for bearing with us during these hard times. We are ready now," he said.

Kisumu All Stars match against AFC Leopards last month was delayed for up to one hour due to clashing jerseys before the team resorted to buying temporary red kits for use in the match they lost 1-0 in Machakos.

Kisumu All Stars will don new kits in their upcoming Kenya Premier League (KPL) matches starting with Sofapaka and Bandari matches next week.
