Kenya’s Nelly Jepkosgei held on to win her first women’s 800m Diamond League meeting in Rabat on Sunday night as Emmanuel Korir lost, yet again, to Nijel  Amos of Botswana. 

With the absence of familiar faces that included South African Caster Semenya, Jepkosgei timed 1:59.50, to narrowly beat Ethiopia’s Habitam Alemu, who clocked 1:59.90, while Olha Lyakhova of Ukraine was third in 2:00.35.
