Kenya Highlands Seed were headed for the Ndume Trophy title victory after dispatching Crown Paints 6.5-5 at Manyatta Polo Club in Gilgil on Sunday.

It was their second win having beaten Jaguar Petroleum 7.5-5 in their opening match in the four-team-three-match round robin series.

Once again, it was a day full of different penalties ranging from the 30 yard, 40 to 60 yards with some defended and undefended throughout the match.

It was international Craig Millar who shone yet again on the second day of the competition with crucial goals that assisted his team to win the matches.

The match pitting Kenya Highland Seed against Mascor today could decide the title winner after the latter defeated Jaguar Petroleum 5-2 on Sunday.

"Monday's match against Kenya Highland Seed will be tough but we are keen on it and the pressures that go with it," said Kimoi Moi after his team Mascor defeated Jaguar Petroleum 5-2.

Simon Muchene, who played for Kenya Highland Seed, said they are aware of the task ahead of them in the hunt for the title.

"The match will be tough but we are equally prepared for it as we are determined to beat them (Mascor) after winning all our matches," Muchene said.

All the three teams in the Intermediate Championships have a chance to win the title after each won and lost a match.

Winebox defeated Dudutech 4-2 and lost 2-0 to Dayliff in their first match on Sunday.

After beating Winebox 2-0, Dayliff lost by a solitary goal to Dudutech.

Dayliff lead the table standings with six points from four matches ahead of Dudutech, who have four points from four matches, while Winebox have two points.

Monday's first match will pit Dayliff against Dudutech before they (Dayliff) take on Winebox with the final match being between Dudutech and Winebox.
