St Mary's School Yala yesterday got off their rugby 15s title defense on a winning note as they hammered Bondo Township 42-0 in a one-sided fixture in the Siaya County Term One games.

The hosts touched down four unconverted tries in the first half to lead 20-0 before adding 22 points in the final half.
