An extra time golden goal by Jonathan Stichbury was all Sanlam Investments required to beat Radio Africa 1-0 after a 3-3 tie at the end of four chukkas to lift Six Goal championships at Nairobi Polo Club on Sunday.

It didn't take Stichbury 60 seconds to hit home the final goal that allowed his team to lift the title.

"It was amazing and we are happy to have won it ahead of the weekend's competition," said Sanlam Captain Craig Miller.

The tournament was used to select a national side that will take on Brazilian National Team in an 18-Goal-International match at the same venue this weekend.

Archie Voorspuy's-led Tusker Malt secured a 5-4.5 victory over Samurai to finish third in the knockout tournament. Voorspuy and Phyllipa Gulden scored for Tusker Malt in the first chukka before Jadini Nzomo and Moses Wainaga replied in the second one to take the lead in the second chukka. Jadini and Omwakwe Arunga did it again to take a 4.5-2 in the third chukka.

Voorspuy scored a double and Ben Stonewigg another in the final Chukka to win 5-4.5 over Samurai.

Live Wire and Tanqueray settled for a 5-5 draw to tie on fifth position. [Ben Ahenda]
