Talanta will be seeking to continue with their impressive start to the National Super League when they visit former Kenyan Premier League outfit Vihiga United in Mumias.
Fresh from a thrilling 3-1 win over Vihiga Bullets, head coach Abdallah Juma believes his team can register their second consecutive win against the western Kenya side.
“We are ready and prepared for the game. The boys are charged up after our thrilling day one win and what we have to do is give the same performance in Mumias,” Juma said.
Talanta are currently third in the standings behind Bidco United and Nairobi Stima who have a better goal difference.
Nairobi Stima, Ushuru and St Joseph Youth will all not be in action with their respective opponents in Kenya Police, APS Bomet and Administration Police having taken part in the East Africa Police games at Kasarani.
Vihiga Bullets will tackle Nairobi City Stars in the second doubleheader at the Mumias Complex with an aim of registering their first win of the season.
In Gusii, Shabana will be aiming to bounce back to winning ways when they host newly-promoted Muranga Seals.
The newbies defeated Kibera 1-0 in their opening match as Shabana lost 2-0 at the hands of Nairobi City Stars.
“We started poorly by losing in Nairobi but now we have a chance to redeem ourselves by winning at home. The Seals won against a good Kibera side meaning they will not come easy and therefore we are going to be cautious and clinical to avoid any upsets,” Shabana head coach Gilbert Selebwa said.
At Awendo Stadium, Migori Youth welcome Bidco United.
