The long-awaited Boxing Association of Kenya elections will not be held anytime soon as the Ministry of Sports, Culture and Arts is still developing a policy that is aimed at regulating all sporting federations.

Principal Secretary Peter Kaberia said they first interested in coming up with a policy that will put all federations in a check and balancing process to determine the integrity of aspiring officials before they are elected into their respective positions.

“We’re first interested in finalizing this policy to put all federations on checks and balances before their officials are elected into office that will also question their integrity,” Kaberia told Standard Sports.

The PS spoke at a time BAK has twice postponed its elections following differences of aspiring officials split into two factions with one pushing for the amendment of the constitution to recognize counties as new branches and claiming retention of regions as branches.
