The road safety campaign in Tanzania is real especially along the highways. Tanzanian police officers neatly in white uniforms are taking to highways to preach road safety.
“I have stopped this vehicle to make sure each one of you know and respect traffic rules to save lives,” says one of the traffic officers who stopped our bus from Mombasa to Dar es Salaam in Mkwewe as he urged each one of us to tighten safety belts.
